New restrictions have been put in place to ensure all non-essential work has been shuttered.
Private and public gatherings have been banned.
Here's what Singapore looks like in the time of Covid.
These are drastic measures. But it will all be for naught if there is no buy-in from the people themselves.
Here are some who apparently did not buy in.
Over 7,000 advisories were issued on Day 1 of CCB
Most of these advisories were issued at hawker centres and markets.
These written advisories given to members of the public at crowded markets reminded them to keep a safe distance when queuing or making payment by following the floor markings.
On the first day, more than 2,000 Safe Distancing and SG Clean Ambassadors, and Enforcement Officers (EOs) were deployed to HDB estates across Singapore.
These ambassadors and EOs will cover premises such as town centres, hawker centres, coffee shops, transport nodes, parks, and community clubs and centres.Members of the public are strongly reminded that they must comply with the elevated safe distancing measures imposed from now to May 4.
Environment Minister and chair of the SG Clean Taskforce Masagos Zulkifli also posted a Facebook post emphasising the need to consider our choices.
