On April 8, Minister for Communications and Information (MCI) S. Iswaran said in a Facebook post that MCI and the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) have been working with several organisations to help everyone remain connected, productive and entertained.
On the entertainment end, this includes free previews of cable channels on service providers like Singtel and StarHub.Here's a look at them.
Free Singtel CAST app for all in S'pore
Singtel will be offering free previews on Singtel CAST for everyone in Singapore. They will be offering five packs.

Singtel CAST is the service provider's multi-channel online streaming platform.
It will be available for free until June 30, 2020.
One will be able to watch free live TV from 30 different channels including:
- HITS
- KIX
- Lifetime
- Blue Ant Entertainment
- Boomerang
- Cartoon Network
- Nick Jr.
- Nickelodeon
- Miao Mi
- Crime and Investigation
- HISTORY
- HISTORY2
- Discovery
- Asian Food Network
- DMAX
- Comedy Central
- MTV Live
- MTV
- ETTV Asia News
- CCTV-4
- CTI Asia
- Jia Le
- cHK
- GEM
- ONE MNC Drama Channel

Additionally, Singtel TV customers can also access free preview of 30 channels on their television.
Extended free preview on StarHub
StarHub will also be providing free previews to its channels on television and StarHub Go app for its customers.
The free preview for the StarHub Entertainment package has been extended to last until May 4, the end of the circuit breaker period.
