The Ministry of Health has reported that there are 931 new Covid-19 cases in Singapore as of April 26, 12pm.
The majority of these cases are foreign workers residing in the dormitories.
This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases in Singapore to 13,624.
Breakdown of 931 new cases
Imported cases: 2
Both are Singaporeans who had been placed on Stay-Home Notice upon arrival in Singapore on 10 April.
Community cases: 18
The number of new cases in the community has decreased, from an average of 31 cases per day in the week before, to an average of 21 per day in the past week.
The number of unlinked cases in the community has also decreased, from an average of 21 cases per day in the week before, to an average of 14 per day in the past week.
Infected Work Permit holders residing outside of dormitories: 25
The number of new cases amongst Work Permit holders residing outside dormitories has continued to increase, from an average of 20 cases per day in the week before, to an average of 26 per day in the past week.
Infected Work Permit holders residing in dormitories: 886
The main increase today continues to be for Work Permit holders residing in dormitories, where we are picking up many more cases because of extensive testing.
Most of these cases have a mild illness and are being monitored in the community isolation facilities or general ward of our hospitals.
None of them is in the intensive care unit.
4 new clusters
- Four of the newly confirmed cases are linked to 17 previous cases to form a new cluster at Proptech Pte Ltd (38 Senoko Road).
- Six of the newly confirmed cases are linked to 18 previous cases to form a new cluster at 5 Kian Teck Crescent.
- 57 of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to a new cluster at 3 Sungei Kadut Street 6.
- Four of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to a new cluster at 133 Tuas View Square.
