Being at home for long periods of time certainly inspires some people to do things.
For one Winnie Heng, she uploaded a video of herself in the Singapore Airlines uniform with the caption, "Have I gone mad?", showing how cabin crew could possibly "work" from home.
Pretending to serve passengers
The entire video was filmed in a room and bathroom in her HDB flat in Tampines.
In the video, she was seen pretending to "board a flight" with her luggage:
She also pushed a chair with a selection on drinks on it, including gin, ice lemon tea and Pepsi, and asked her "customer": "Excuse me, ma'am, would you like a drink?"
She asked her dog whether she would like "coffee, tea, or me", but it turns out that her dog wanted "treat treat only".
Cute.
She even made an in-flight announcement in her bathroom, using a bidet as her microphone:
"Welcome to Singapore ladies and gentlemen. And to all Singaporeans and residents of Singapore, a warm welcome home."
At the end of the video, she was seen folding a sheet of toilet paper into a triangle.
Nice touch.
Hoping to spread some laughter
Heng told Mothership that she was previously with SIA as a flight stewardess for seven years, and is currently a property sales consultant.
She was inspired by a stewardess in Malaysia doing a similar video, and decided to come up with her own version.
According to Heng, the Covid-19 crisis is a tough period for many, and she hopes that her video can make people laugh, and feel slightly better about the current situation.
