News of the messy break up between Show Luo and Grace Chow dominated the Taiwanese entertainment scene in the past week.

The saga started when Chow, a Chinese influencer, spilled the sordid details of Luo's multiple affairs throughout their relationship on Weibo.

She had dated the Taiwanese singer for nine years.

Now, Show Luo's mum is one of the many parties who have waded into the mess.

According to Taiwanese site Mirror Media, Luo's mum is apparently "livid" with Chow over the incident.

The older woman had been responding to personal queries from the media, Mirror Media reported.

Luo's mum felt that she had treated Chow like a daughter-in-law, only for the influencer to force Luo into a corner now.

She believed that the matter should have been settled in private, and accused Chow of trying to destroy Luo's career in China, where he has spent many years building it.

Before this, Chow and Luo's mum reportedly had a good relationship. Chow had even once called her "mum" on social media.

Luo's mum is now facing backlash from Chinese followers, as they felt that her son had cheated on Chow in the first place, thereby destroying his own career.

They also brutally cited her lack of morals as the reason for Luo's poor upbringing.

Regardless, Mirror Media observed that by speaking out for her son, Luo's mum had actually made things worse for him.
