Customers in Singapore who made a delivery order from Pizza Hut on April 29 faced long waiting times of several hours, leading to calls for refunds online.

Mothership reader said her order placed at 10:30am to be delivered at 12:30pm had not arrived by 8pm.

She also said she did not receive a call or email from Pizza Hut about her order.

At 3:18pm, Pizza Hut updated its Facebook page explaining that a technical glitch was responsible for "certain orders not being processed".

S$30 voucher for affected customers

According to a spokesperson on behalf of Pizza Hut, the glitch began around "late morning", and was recognised in the afternoon.

"The glitch was related to a technical issue with the server. Even though the server was receiving orders, it failed to communicate some of the orders to the operation team."

Pizza Hut has also contacted affected customers personally, offering their apologies and a S$30 voucher.
