The Covid-19 cluster of 27 confirmed cases at PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ Fengshan Blk 126 likely originated from Case 566, a family member of Case 601, the preschool's principal.

This was announced by the Ministry of Health (MOH) in a press release on Monday, Apr. 6, stating that further epidemiological investigations have uncovered a link between the PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ Fengshan Blk 126 cluster to a family member of Case 601.

Case 566 travelled to Malaysia

Together with the assistance of the Singapore Police Force, MOH's investigations found that Case 566 had travelled to Malaysia on Mar. 4, where she was likely infected.

Upon returning to Singapore, she subsequently transmitted the infection to other family members, including Case 601.

Case 601 is a 47-year-old female Singaporean citizen. She developed symptoms on Mar. 17.

The infected family members of Case 601 include Cases 521, 566, 567, 572, 638, 705, 706, 707, 708, 746 and 1003.

Case 601 then likely infected the rest of the affected staff members of the preschool through a staff meeting.

It was earlier reported that Case 601 developed symptoms while at work on Mar. 17, and then attended a training with "about" 30 staff from other PCF preschool centres later that evening.
