A student from Pasir Ris Primary School has tested positive for Covid-19, a letter to parents from the principal stated on Saturday, April 4.
The school principal Tan King Ming said that the Primary 2 student had contracted the virus from a family member outside of school.
The student tested positive for Covid-19 on April 2.
Tan said the student was last in school on March 27 and had been well at the time.
The student did not attend school on March 30 and has been away since then.
The Ministry of Health and the school have traced all students and staff members who had been in contact with the student on March 27.
They will either be quarantined or placed on a leave of absence, the letter revealed.
He wrote: “As such, no student or staff who had contact with the affected student will be in school on Monday, April 6.”
