McDonald's Singapore will stop walk-in takeaways at all outlets from Apr. 18 till May 4, 11:59pm.

This was announced in a Facebook post on Apr. 17, 2020.

Only drive-thru, online orders and deliveries will be allowed.

This is an added precaution to minimise contact in the restaurants, McDonald's said.

The fast food chain also wants to encourage their customers and senior employees to "continue staying home and staying safe."

This comes after a cluster was uncovered at McDonald's on Apr. 12, involving five employees at three outlets: McDonald’s LIDO, Forum Galleria, Parklane and Geylang East Central.

On Apr. 16, the Ministry of health announced one additional case linked to the cluster, making it a total of six cases.

The cases are 1973, 2066, 2096, 2302, 2084 and 3217.
