The Ministry of Health has amended the annex of its press release issued on Saturday, April 18, to exclude the cases "confirmed and verified" after 12pm of the same day.
The update was announced as a note on the April 18 release found on its website.
Case numbers beyond 5992 were discovered
Previously, Facebook page "Wake up, Singapore" pointed out that while the total number of Covid-19 cases in Singapore tallied till April 18 was 5992, cases beyond that number were found in the footnotes.
For instance, footnote 24 that listed the cases in Tampines Dormitory on page 9 included cases "5997, 5998, 5999 and 6000".
Also, case numbers "6042, 6043, 6046, 6048 and 6051" for Tuas View Dormitory were listed under footnote 27 on the same page of the release.
Annex updated
MOH has since updated the release to reflect the changes.
Cases "5997, 5998, 5999 and 6000" were removed from footnote 24.
Footnote 27 has also been amended to exclude case numbers "6042, 6043, 6046, 6048 and 6051".
In addition, the number of additional cases under point xxvi of Annex A now states "95 additional cases".
The annex had previously stated "100 additional cases".
