Most people in Singapore are staying at home during this circuit breaker period.

However, some will still have to leave their homes to do their duty as essential workers, including neighbourhood cleaners.

On April 23, Facebook user Sujatha Nair witnessed something she thought was heartwarming -- although unusual.

She was exercising at Toh Guan Park in the morning when she saw a young man sweeping dried leaves off the running track.

On closer inspection, he appeared to be sweeping on behalf of the older neighbourhood cleaner who was resting at a nearby shelter:
