Malaysia will extend its lockdown for a further two weeks, until April 28.
This was announced by Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin on Apr. 10.
The previous deadline for the end of the movement control order (MCO) was Apr. 14.
According to Malaysiakini, the decision was taken after obtaining feedback from the Malaysian Health Ministry.
As of Apr. 9, Malaysia has 4,228 confirmed cases with 67 deaths, and 1,608 recovered patients.
