Here's something to look out for if you're stuck at home on April 8: The supermoon.

This is said to be the second of three supermoons this year, with the first one in March and the third one is expected to happen in May.

Largest supermoon of 2020

But you probably wouldn't want to miss the supermoon.

As it is closer to Earth than the other two supermoons, it is said to be the largest supermoon this year.

On average, supermoons are about seven per cent bigger and about 15 per cent brighter than a typical full moon.

This upcoming supermoon is also called the "Pink Supermoon".

Not literally a pink moon

However, it's not because the moon will take on a pink hue.

A full moon in April is called a "Pink Moon" as it is named after a pink flower called the ground phlox that also blooms in April.
