On April 22, a video of a woman chiding a staff at NEX's KFC outlet went viral.

The woman was filmed hurling insults at the staff before stomping off.

Asked staff to die

She was heard cursing at the staff, telling the personnel and her family to die.

Here's what she apparently said, based on the video:

"Nobody will scared. Don't make people wait like that. Wait for you to die, wait for your whole family to die."

Spat on staff

After scolding the masked staff, she went on to spit on her twice.

While it is compulsory for everyone in Singapore to wear a mask in public, the woman was seen not wearing a mask properly while speaking to the staff.

The video has since gone viral with over 1,000 shares on Facebook.

Speaking to Mothership, a representative from KFC Singapore said:

"Earlier today, there was an incident between a customer and a KFC Singapore staff (Manager) at the KFC in NEX.

Following this incident, we lodged a police report and will leave the police to investigate further.

We would like to assure our customers that the outlet was immediately cleansed and sanitised post-incident.

Our top priority remains the welfare and safety of our staff, who is currently off-duty and resting.

At KFC, we take the safety of our staff and customers seriously. We would like to remind all customers to maintain safe distancing and to wear a mask as required by the authorities."
