MS x Homegrown Eateries is a community initiative by Mothership to help homegrown F&B businesses during the Covid-19 Circuit Breaker period.

Under this initiative, we will regularly feature local businesses, as well as share a Google Excel sheet with a total of 74 vendors you can support.

Today’s (April 28) spotlight will focus on five vendors in the west. 

1) Crav-Pot

Crav-Pot sells claypot dishes, spaghetti, and set meals.

Some of their dishes include:

• Claypot Sesame Oil Chicken (S$5.50)
• Claypot Homemade Chilli Prawn (S$8.00)
• Claypot Prawn Tang Hoon (S$9.80)

2) Bigbigfries

If it looks familiar, it's because Bigbigfries typically appears at fairs like ARTBOX, Uncle Ringo, and Chatuchak Singapore.

The relatively new venture specialises in selling handmade long fries with a variety of sauces, such as mentaiko mayonnaise, and truffle mayonnaise.

Finger food is available as well, in the form of nuggets and onion rings.

• Seaweed Mayonnaise Fries (S$7.90)
• Thai Middle Wings, four pieces (S$4.50)

3) Ah Li Mee Pok

Ah Li Mee Pok specializes in Japanese fusion mee pok.

Thunderbolt Tea is by Boon Lay Traditional Hakka Luicha, selling traditional-style leicha (thunder tea rice).
