The Ministry of Health has announced 596 new cases of Covid-19 on Apr. 19.

This brings Singapore's total number of cases to 6,588.

There are 25 Singaporeans/ Permanent Residents among the cases today. There are also five work pass holders who are not in dormitories.

Of the new cases, 68 per cent are linked to known clusters, while the rest are pending contact tracing.

505 of the new cases are Work Permit holders residing in dormitories.

MOH also identified five new clusters on Sunday, two of which are foreign worker dormitories.

12 of the earlier confirmed cases have now been linked to a new cluster at Woodlands Lodge I, located at 50 Woodlands Industrial park E4.
