Covid-19: 334 new cases in S'pore, 114 cases unlinked, totalling at 3,252

The Covid-19 Multi-Ministry Taskforce (MTF) has announced 334 new cases in Singapore as of April 14, 12pm.

334 new cases

All 334 new cases are locally transmitted, and there are no imported cases.

Of these, 198 cases are linked to existing clusters, a vast majority are Work Permit holders in the dormitories.

Another 22 cases are locally linked, including 10 Singapore Citizens/PRs as well as 12 Work Permit holders.

114 cases are pending contact tracing, including 24 Singapore Citizens/Permanent Residents, 85 Work Permit holders, three S Pass holders, one Employment Pass holder and a Dependant’s Pass holder.

This brings the total number of cases in Singapore to 3,252.

25 more patients have been discharged from hospitals and community isolation facilities.

In total, 611 have fully recovered and have been discharged.

Steep increase in the past week

For the past week, Singapore has seen a steep increase in the number of Covid-19 cases.

New cases reported daily have been more than 190 for the six days in a row.

Here's a summary of the increase:

  • 287 new confirmed cases on April 9
  • 198 new confirmed cases on April 10
  • 191 new confirmed cases on April 11
  • 233 new confirmed cases on April 12
  • 386 new confirmed cases on April 13
  • 334 new confirmed cases on April 14 (today)
