12 bubble tea places in S'pore still open this circuit breaker period

The Covid-19 Multi-Ministry Taskforce announced on April 21 tighter restrictions on F&B outlets during the circuit breaker period.

Under this new measure, dessert and bubble tea shops have been taken off the list of essential services.

People in Singapore who want to get their bubble tea fix are fretting as they have to forego their drink until at least May 5.

Here are 12 restaurants, eateries and hawker stalls where one can still get bubble tea:

1) i love taimei

i love taimei is a Taiwanese snack store that will still be selling bubble tea during the circuit breaker period.

If one wants to order bubble tea from them, they will have to purchase other food along with it.

Each person is limited to either two combos, or two food items and two drinks.

The store has also urged everyone to order through delivery platforms, such as GrabFood and FoodPanda.

2) Honolulu Cafe

Honolulu Cafe is a "cha chaan teng" (tea restaurant) from Hong Kong that has since expanded to countries like Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines.

One can order brown sugar bubble coffee, brown sugar bubble milk tea or brown sugar bubble milk from them at their Westgate outlet or via GrabFood.

3) Cool Hut @ Jurong West

Cool Hut is a food and beverage stall at Jurong West Street 41.

They are currently selling soy milk with pearls (S$3), bubble milk tea (S$4.50), bubble coffee latte (S$4.50), bandung with pearls (S$3.20), and more on GrabFood, FoodPanda and Deliveroo.

One can also order mains, sandwiches and steamed buns from them.

4) Emo snacks 饿魔小吃

Emo Snacks is a cafe in Geylang selling Taiwanese snacks and drinks.

They will still be open for pick-up and delivery orders.

One can get a variety of milk teas ranging from S$3 to S$4, as well as customise toppings and sugar levels.

6) 233 Banh Mi

233 Banh Mi is a Vietnamese kitchen specialising in Vietnamese bread and Vietnamese iced coffee.

They will be open during the circuit breaker period, and one can order bubble iced green milk tea (S$3.50) or bubble iced oolong milk tea (S$3.50) from them.

7) The Peranakan

The Peranakan is a Peranakan restaurant located along the Orchard Road belt.

They will still be selling a a variety of bubble tea during the circuit breaker period, such as Malacca bubble milk tea (S$5) and even a range of durian bubble tea (S$7 - S$10).
