86-year-old S'porean woman, Patient 987, is 7th Covid-19 death in S'pore

She was linked to the Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home cluster.

An 86 year-old female Singapore Citizen passed away from complications due to Covid-19 infection on the night of Apr. 9, 2020.

The patient was previously identified as Case 987, Singapore's seventh death from Covid-19.

Linked to Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home

This was announced by the Ministry of Health (MOH) on Apr. 10.

Case 987 was linked to the cluster at the Lee Ah Mooi Old Age Home.

She was admitted to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) on Apr. 1, and was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on the same day.

NCID has reached out to her family and is extending assistance to them.

Update on cases in hospital and community facilities

MOH said that as of Apr. 10, there are 875 confirmed cases still in hospital, though most are stable or improving.

32 are in critical condition in the intensive care unit, while 734 cases who are clinically well but still test positive for COVID-19 are isolated and cared for at community facilities.
