A video showing a beer promoter feeding a coffee shop patron was widely circulated online over the weekend.

The video was posted on Saturday night, March 7, and has since garnered almost one million views and over 13,000 shares on Facebook.

The incident happened at the coffee shop along Upper Changi Road.

In the 20-second video, the Tiger beer promoter poured some beer into a small cup.

She then fed the man in a pink shirt, slouching in his chair, with the beer.

Regular customer

The man was holding onto a copy of the Chinese evening daily, Lianhe Wanbao.

The lady subsequently refilled the cup and walked off from the table.

According to Shinmin Daily News, a hawker at the coffee shop said that the man is a regular customer and the lady casually fed him with beer since he was busy reading the newspaper.

APB does not condone such behaviours

In response to Mothership's query, the Asia Pacific Breweries (APB) spokesperson said that they are aware of the video and have looked into the matter.

“The beer promoter involved was not acting in line with our Brand Promoters Policy and we do not condone behaviours that are not in line with our code of conduct," the statement added.

The beer promoter involved has been counselled and served with a stern warning, and she will be transferred to another outlet, according to the spokesperson.

The company has further reinforced to their beer promoters that they need to strictly observe its Brand Promoters Policy, which serves to ensure the safety and well-being of its staff from harassment as well as provide guidance on responsible service.
