Earlier today, Malaysia announced lockdown measures that will be coming into effect on March 18, 2020.

Some might have felt a bit of panic due to our proximity.

One area of worry some might have is the issue of food.

Some on social media have already noticed lengthier queues.

In fact, when Mothership went down to some supermarkets after the announcement, the queues were starting to pile up.

Some of the items we noticed people were mostly buying include eggs, rice, canned food, oil, toilet paper, instant noodles, cooking oil, vegetables, canned and jar goods.

Minister for Trade and Industry Chan Chun Sing had earlier reassured Singaporeans that there was no need for panic buying or hoarding.
