Suntec Tower Five has confirmed a case of the Covid-19 infection.

On Mar. 12, the building's management sent an email to the occupiers of the building, notifying them of the development.

Suntec Tower Five is located in Suntec City.

According to the email, the affected individual was last in Suntec City on Mar. 5

The affected tenant has performed deep cleaning to their premises.

Common areas, such as high-touch areas, corridors, lift cars, lobby, and washrooms have also been "thoroughly disinfected".

The management cited an advisory from the Ministry of Health (MOH), which states that there is no need to avoid places where confirmed cases of Covid-19 have been, as the risk of infection from transient contact is low.

However, additional precautionary measures have been implemented, including:

  • Increased cleaning of common areas
  • Implementation of temperature screening at office towers for occupiers and visitors
  • Requiring visitors to sign a health declaration form
  • Twice daily temperature taking for all service and management staff
  • Heightened emergency preparedness of the team with relevant training and drills

Previously, measures such as temperature screening and health declarations forms were put in place when DORSCON Orange kicked in.
