The bus captain even knew that Lee was a teacher at Crest Secondary School simply by observing Lee chatting with students.

Lee added that the bus captain has been observed to sometimes make small talk with passengers on board as well.

Lee also praised the bus captain for his safe and steady driving, pointing out that he would call out "Road turning!" whenever he is about to make a turn, to ensure that standing passengers wouldn't be caught off-guard and lose their balance.

Waits for elderly passenger with walking stick regularly

According to Lee, once he noticed an elderly passenger with a cane, walking slowly towards the bus, and asked the bus captain to wait.

However, he realised that it was unnecessary, as the bus captain wasn't about to leave without the elderly man.

"That is my regular," Lee recalled the bus captain telling him.

He lauded the bus captain for his work ethic in his Facebook post, and for being able to respect his work and derive joy from it.

Other Bus 187 regulars chip in

Other Facebook users who encountered the bus service 187 captain also chipped in, sharing their positive experiences with the bus captain.

One added that the bus captain would try to catch the attention of passengers who did not see his bus coming, so that they wouldn't miss it.

Sweet.
