Sentosa is extending its free entry promotion until June 30, 2020.
Previously it announced that visitors to Sentosa will be able to enter for free from March 14 to 22, during the March school holidays.
This means that those driving into Sentosa, riding the monorail service from Vivocity, and taking the Sentosa shuttle bus service from Our Tampines Hub will be able to do so for free from March 14 to June 30.
More measures to help businesses on Sentosa
Waiving entry fees is part of Sentosa's measures to support its businesses affected by the Covid-19 outbreak.
Sentosa Development Corporation also announced in a Mar. 11 media release that it will help its business operators by deferring 50 per cent of rental payments for the next three months, "where applicable".
Business operators can pay their deferred rental via interest-free instalments over 12 months.
This is on top of rental waivers, property tax rebates, and a temporary bridging loan that Sentosa businesses can benefit from during the outbreak period.
The extra measures were implemented after it received "feedback from island partners on business sentiments", said Sentosa Development Corporation.
Sentosa has seen a 20 to 50 per cent drop in visitor numbers and sales since February.
In order to attract more visitors, Sentosa has come up with a Stay and Play Programme which bundles hotel and attraction packages for the month of March.
It has also stepped up its cleaning frequency across the island so as to provide greater assurance to the public as they go about their activities.
