The Ministry of Health announced five new confirmed cases of Covid-19 on Mar. 5, along with another new cluster.
A total of eight cases have been connected in this newly-discovered cluster, through a dinner function held at the Joy Garden Restaurant at SAFRA Jurong on Boon Lay Way.
4 new cases linked to cluster at SAFRA Jurong
Of the five new cases announced on Thursday, four are linked to the dinner, which was held on February 15.
These are Cases 114, 115, 116 and 117. All have no recent travel history to affected countries and regions.
It is also unclear if all these cases (or indeed, all eight cases linked to this cluster) attended the dinner.

Cases 114 & 115
Cases 114 and 115 are family members. Case 114 is a 62-year-old male Singapore Citizen, while Case 115 is a 62-year-old female Singapore citizen.
Case 114 reported onset of symptoms on Feb. 28 and sought treatment at a general practitioner (GP) clinic on Feb. 29.
He presented at the emergency department at NUH on Mar. 3. Subsequent test results confirmed Covid-19 infection on the afternoon of Mar. 4.
Meanwhile, Case 115 confirmed Covid-19 infection the next morning on Mar. 5.
Both are warded in an isolation room at the National University Hospital (NUH).
Prior to hospital admission, Case 114 had mostly stayed at his home in the Westwood Avenue area.
Case 116
Case 116 is a 50-year-old female Singapore Citizen.
She was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on Mar. 5 morning and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID.
Case 117
Case 117 is a 52-year-old female Singapore Citizen.
She did not travel to affected countries and regions recently but had been in Malaysia on Mar. 1.
She was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on Mar. 5 morning and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID.
4 previous cases found to be linked to same cluster
Another four previously confirmed cases are also identified to have links to the SAFRA Jurong cluster — the student from Raffles Institution and the assistant cook from Creative O Preschoolers’ Bay are among these cases.
All four of these cases have no recent travel history to affected countries and regions. Nor is it clear if any or all of them were present at the Feb. 15 dinner.
Case 94
Case 94 is a 64-year-old female Singapore Citizen. She is currently warded in an isolation room at Singapore General Hospital (SGH).
She reported onset of symptoms on Feb. 11 and had sought treatment at GP clinic on Feb. 17, Feb. 20 and Feb. 24.
She was referred to SGH on Feb. 24 and was immediately isolated. Subsequent test results confirmed Covid-19 infection on Feb. 26 afternoon.
Prior to hospital admission, she had mostly stayed at her home in the Jalan Jurong Kechil area.
Case 96
Case 96 is a 12-year-old male Singapore Citizen and Raffles Institution student.
He was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on Feb. 27 afternoon, and is currently warded in an isolation room at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. He is linked to Case 94.
Case 107
Case 107 is a 68-year-old female Singapore Citizen.
She is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID, and is linked to Case 94.
She reported onset of symptoms on Feb. 16 and had sought treatment at two GP clinics on Feb. 20, Feb. 23 and Feb. 25.
She presented at Tan Tock Seng Hospital on Feb. 27 and was immediately isolated. Subsequent test results confirmed Covid-19 infection on Mar. 1 afternoon.
Prior to hospital admission, she had mostly stayed at her home at Bishan Street 13.
Case 112
Case 112 is a 62-year-old female Singapore Citizen and an assistant cook at Creative O Preschoolers’ Bay.
She was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on Mar. 4 morning, and is warded in an isolation room at NCID.
She is also linked to Case 94.
She reported onset of symptoms on Feb. 21, and sought treatment at Bukit Batok Polycinic on the same day and on Feb. 25, as well as three GP clinics on Feb. 21, Feb. 23, Feb. 27 and Mar. 1.
She was also identified as a contact of Case 94, she was referred by MOH to NCID on March 3 and was isolated.
