In an update by the Dean of Students, Associate Professor Leong Ching, a foreign exchange student has had her Student Exchange Programme with the National University of Singapore (NUS) terminated.

The student had breached leave of absence (LOA) and had made a false travel declaration.

According to the update, the student has been officially reprimanded and a report sent to her home university.

This is not the first disciplinary action NUS has meted out for students breaching their LOAs.

Last month, a student from NUS was handed a one-month suspension for breaching his Leave of Absence (LOA) by attending lectures.
