Good news for Meidi-Ya fans who are sad to learn that the Liang Court outlet is closing by Mar. 31.
Mothership understands Meidi-Ya will be opening a two-storey flagship store in Millenia Walk.
According to boarded-up areas in Millenia Walk, it is located opposite Harvey Norman.
We can also expect the supermarket to reopen sometime in August 2020.
According to a Millenia Walk spokesperson, Meidi-Ya will be opening progressively in phases from May to Aug. 2020 and would be occupying a 24,000sqft space.
This will be Meidi-Ya's biggest store in Singapore, and will consist of a supermarket and food hall integrated under one roof.
Level 1 will showcase Japanese cuisine, delicatessen as well as wine and liquor imported directly from Japan. Level 2 will feature a variety of Japanese groceries.
Another Meidi-Ya outlet in Singapore can be found at Great World City.
