"Social distancing" has become a trending term worldwide.
In Singapore, social distancing has been put into practice to help limit the spread of Covid-19 by reducing the density of crowds.
Social distancing in lifts
Several establishments have taken social distancing measures seriously, including Maybank Tower located in Raffles Place.
According to the notice inside the lift, nine boxes have been demarcated on the floor, each with directions which the person should be facing in.
It also included an example of how people taking the lift should stand, for optimal social distancing in an enclosed crammed area.
Mothership confirmed with an employee from the building management's fire command centre that the measure has been put in place at Maybank Tower in Raffles Place.
A Twitter user has shared his opinion on such arrangements, which is akin to starting a boyband:

While some others have commented the floor markings look like the people who enter the elevator are going for some Dance Dance Revolution.
Other social distancing measures
Besides social distancing in lifts, Singaporeans have also taken similar precautionary measures elsewhere.

Some establishments in other countries have also taken social distancing measures in elevators.
Stay safe y'all.
