Covid-19: 49 new cases in S'pore, 32 are imported

Total number of cases is now at 558.

On Mar. 24, the Ministry of Health announced 49 new cases of Covid-19 in Singapore.

The total number of cases is now at 558, as of Tuesday noon.

Of the 49 new cases, 32 were imported.

Out of the 32 imported cases 25 are Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents. Five are Long Term Pass visitors.

Eight of the cases had travel history to the UK, the rest have had travel history to other countries, like the U.S., Australia, the Middle East, ASEAN and other parts of Asia.

As of Mar. 24, 155 patients have been discharged (not including the two patients who had died). 17 remain in intensive care.
