On Mar. 15, a staff from Jurong Point's Cash Box outlet was confirmed to have tested positive for Covid-19.
Jurong Point staff tested positive with Covid-19
On Mar. 16, the mall announced on their Facebook page that they have closed the unit for disinfection by a cleaning company approved by the National Environment Agency.
All common areas, escalators, toilets and corridor to the toilets near the affected outlet have also been disinfected.

The mall also said that all CashBox staff, as well as other mall staff who have been in close contact with the affected employee, will stay at home for 14 days.
Outlet closed until further notice
The outlet will only reopen when all necessary health and safety measures are completed.
After which, staff who have not had any contact with the affected employee will be redeployed to the outlet.
Jurong Point has since stepped up its precautionary measures.
This includes temperature screening where relevant, increasing the frequency of the mall's cleaning routine and placing hand sanitisers at high traffic areas like lift lobbies and Customer Service counters for public use.

Here’s MOH’s information about the case:
Case 215 is an imported case involving a 65-year-old Singapore citizen who had been in Thailand from Mar. 7 to Mar. 10.
He is currently warded in an isolation room at Singapore General Hospital (SGH).
He reported onset of symptoms on Mar. 13 and had sought treatment at a GP clinic on the same day.
He was presented at the emergency department of SGH on Mar. 13, and subsequent test results confirmed Covid-19 infection on Mar. 14 afternoon.
Prior to hospital admission, he had gone to work at Cash Box.
He lives at Mei Ling Street.
