On Thursday, it was announced that there are nine new cases of Covid-19 in Singapore.

The total number now stands at 187.

2 Indonesian nationals

Among the new cases include five imported cases, including two Indonesian nationals (Case 181 and 182) who arrived in Singapore on March 9.

Case 181 is a 83 year-old male Indonesian national who was confirmed to be infected with Covid-19 on the morning of Mar. 12.

He is currently warded at Gleneagles Hospital.

Case 182 involves a 76 year-old female Indonesian national who arrived in Singapore on the same day as Case 181.

She was confirmed to be infected with Covid-19 on the morning of Mar. 12, and is currently warded in an isolation room at Gleneagles Hospital. She is a family member of case 181.

It is unclear when they developed symptoms.

Prior to these two cases, three Indonesian nationals who displayed Covid-19 symptoms in Indonesia traveled to Singapore on separate days, presenting themselves to Singapore hospitals on the day of their arrival.

March 11 recap

On March 11, 12 new cases were announced, including three imported cases of Republic of Singapore Air Force servicemen who had returned from France and a staff nurse at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.

There was also one new case from the SAFRA Jurong cluster.

MOH has also identified some 90 Singaporeans possibly exposed to Covid-19 at religious event at Kuala Lumpur. Approximately 10,000 people were in attendance.

On Thursday (March 12), MUIS said that they have received information from MOH that some Singaporeans have tested positive.

They also said they are working closely with MOH to assist with the ongoing contact tracing efforts.
