According to Kompas, the patients are a 64-year-old woman and her 31-year-old daughter.

They had apparently came into contact with an infected Japanese man.

The man tested positive for Covid-19 shortly after returning from an Indonesia trip.

He reportedly travelled to Indonesia for a vacation with his family on Feb. 15 and was hospitalised on Feb. 19.

Indonesian officials previously stated that they did not receive any additional information about the confirmed patient and thus, could not conduct further investigations.

But on Feb. 26, the authorities have started contact tracing in a hotel in Bali that the family had stayed in.
