Much has been said about Singapore's response to the Covid-19 outbreak.

For one, an American science journalist told The Epoch Times, "If Singapore can’t do it, Singapore can’t keep it under control, then we’re all screwed because they’ve got the best system in the world."

On Feb. 29, another post on the same subject, written by an expat in Singapore, went viral on Twitter.

Moved to Singapore one month ago

Noah Pepper recently moved to Singapore from the U.S about one month ago, and says that he is "super impressed by the government leadership and response here," in the context of the Covid-19 outbreak.

Pepper's thread, which lists six factors, has gotten about 3,200 retweets and 7,000 likes.

The first, Pepper writes, is the regular and transparent updates on the confirmed cases and policies, as well as clear recommendations to businesses and individuals.

Another point he made was the aggressive contact tracing carried out by the Ministry of Health, which helps to contain the virus.

Policies limiting travel movement and quarantine measures were also put in place, with stringent penalties for those who flout the rules.

Pepper adds that he probably gets his temperature checked about four times a day just by visiting different buildings.

A few recalled the SARS pandemic back in 2003, and pointed out that Singapore has learnt from the incident.
