The Ministry of Health (MOH) has announced two new cases of Covid-19 in Singapore on Mar. 4, 2020.
Of these, one is linked to a previous case.
Contact tracing is underway for the other case to establish any links to previous cases or travel history to affected countries or regions.
This brings the total number of cases to 112.
One more patient has been discharged from the hospital (Case 61).
In all, 79 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospital.
Case 111
Case 111 is a 43 year-old male Singapore Permanent Resident who has no recent travel history to affected countries and regions.
He was, however, in Malaysia from Feb. 18-21.
He is currently warded in an isolation room at the National University Hospital (NUH).
He reported onset of symptoms on Feb. 24, and sought treatment at a general practitioner (GP) clinic on the same day and on Feb. 28.
He presented at Sengkang General Hospital on Feb. 27, and NUH on Mar. 3.
Subsequent test results confirmed COVID-19 infection on Mar. 3 afternoon.
Prior to hospital admission, he had mostly stayed at his home at Compassvale Street.
Case 112
Case 112 is a 62 year-old female Singapore Citizen who has no recent travel history to affected countries and regions.
She was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on Mar. 4 morning, and is warded in an isolation room at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID).
She works at Creative O Preschoolers’ Bay (31 International Business Park) as a non-teaching staff. She is linked to Case 94.
