Covid-19: 23 new cases in S'pore on Mar. 22, 18 are imported cases

Two cases are currently unlinked.

The Ministry of Health has announced 23 new cases of the Covid-19 infection on Mar. 22, 2020.

This bring the total number of cases in Singapore to 455.

18 of the new cases are imported, while five are local cases.

The 18 imported cases (Cases 433, 435, 436, 437, 438, 439, 440, 441, 444, 445, 446, 447, 448, 449, 452, 453, 454 and 455) had travel history to Europe, North America, South America and ASEAN.

All except one were returning residents and Long Term Pass holders.

For local cases:

  • One (Case 443) is linked to the cluster at boulder+ Gym.
  • Two are linked to previous cases (Case 442 is linked to Case 398; and Case 451 is linked to Case 404).
  • Two (Cases 434 and 450) are currently unlinked.

Four more cases discharged

Four more cases of Covid-19 infection have been discharged from hospital (Cases 119, 155, 198 and 311).

In all, 144 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospital.

Of the 309 confirmed cases who are still in hospital, most are stable or improving.

14 are in critical condition in the intensive care unit.

Two have passed away from complications due to Covid-19 infection.
