Covid-19 update: Highest single-day jump of 47 new cases, of which 33 are imported

On March 18, the Ministry of Health (MOH) announced 47 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Singapore.

This is the highest single-day jump in confirmed cases reported so far.

It is more than twice the previous day's 23 new cases.

This brings the total of confirmed cases to 313 cases.

Of the new reported cases, 33 were imported.

Three more cases were discharged, while 15 are in the ICU.

30 were Singaporeans returning from overseas.

Nine were linked to previous cases.

19 had travel history to Europe. 16 had travel history to North America. Six had gone to ASEAN countries. One had gone to other parts of Asia. The remaining 14 cases are not imported cases (Nine linked to previous cases and five unlinked).
