In the event that the General Election is held before the Covid-19 outbreak is over, PM Lee assured Singaporeans that the government will take “all the precautions necessary” so that parties can campaign effectively and people can vote safely.

More rigorous border control implemented

Yesterday (Mar. 13), MOH announced more measures to curb the number of imported cases as well as the spread of the virus within the local population.

These measures include banning entry to new visitors who have been to Italy, France, Spain, and Germany within the last 14 days, and advising companies to defer or cancel large scale activities with more than 250 attendees.

Singaporeans were also urged to practise social distancing and maintain good personal hygiene.
