Covid-19: Imported cases visited M'sia, Indonesia, Japan, UK, US & Germany

Many of these countries are experiencing Covid-19 outbreaks.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced nine new imported cases on Mar. 14.

Four are Singaporeans while the other five are foreigners.

According to MOH, one of the Singaporeans, Case 202, attended a mass religious gathering in Malaysia, which is linked to several confirmed Covid-19 cases worldwide.

In particular, Case 202 visited several mosques in Singapore including Masjid Al Mawaddah, Masjid Jamae (Chulia), and Masjid Al-Istiqamah before he was admitted.

Other imported cases announced on Mar. 14 visited countries which are hit hard by Covid-19, including Germany, UK, and Japan.

Here are their details:

Case 202 visited Malaysia

Case 202 is an imported case involving a 44-year-old male Singapore Citizen who had been in Malaysia from Feb. 28 to Mar. 3.

He is currently warded in an isolation room at Sengkang General Hospital (SKH).

He had attended a mass religious gathering at a mosque in Malaysia, and the Malaysian authorities had subsequently reported several confirmed Covid-19 cases linked to the event.

He reported onset of symptoms on Mar. 3 and had sought treatment at a GP clinic on Mar. 4 and 5.

He presented at SKH on Mar. 12 and subsequent test results confirmed Covid-19 infection on Mar. 13 afternoon.

Prior to hospital admission, he had visited Masjid Al Mawaddah (151 Compassvale Bow), Masjid Jamae (Chulia) (218 South Bridge Road) and Masjid Al-Istiqamah (2 Serangoon North Avenue 2).

He stays at Anchorvale Drive.

Case 203 visited Indonesia

Case 203 is likely to be an imported case involving a 36-year-old female Singapore Citizen who had been in Indonesia from Mar. 6 to 8.

She is currently warded in an isolation room at Changi General Hospital (CGH).

She reported onset of symptoms on Mar. 11, and presented at the emergency department of CGH on Mar. 12.

Subsequent test results confirmed Covid-19 infection on Mar. 13 afternoon.

Prior to hospital admission, she mostly stayed at her home at Pasir Ris Street 51.

Case 204 visited Japan

Case 204 is an imported case involving a 32-year-old male American national who is a Singapore Work Pass holder, and had been in Japan from Feb. 29 to Mar. 8.

He is currently warded in an isolation room at Singapore General Hospital (SGH).

He reported onset of symptoms on Mar. 11, and had sought treatment at a GP clinic on Mar. 12.

He presented at SGH on Mar. 12, and subsequent test results confirmed Covid-19 infection on Mar. 13 afternoon.

Prior to hospital admission, he had mostly stayed at his home in the Tanjong Pagar Road area.

Case 205 visited Philippines

Case 205 is an imported case involving a 30-year-old female Filipino national who is a Singapore Long Term Visit Pass holder, and had been in the Philippines from Feb. 27 to Mar. 6.

She was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on Mar. 14 morning, and is currently warded in an isolation room at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID).

Case 206 visited US

Case 206 is an imported case involving a 33-year-old female New Zealand national who is a Singapore Long Term Visit Pass holder, and had been to the United States from Feb. 28 to Mar. 13.

She was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on Mar. 14 morning, and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID.

Case 207 visited UK

Case 207 is an imported case involving a 40-year-old female Singapore Citizen who had been in the United Kingdom from Mar. 6 to 11.

She was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on Mar. 14 morning and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID.

Case 209 visited US

Case 209 is an imported case involving a 32-year-old female Singapore Citizen who had been in the United States from Mar. 2 to 7.

She was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on Mar. 14 morning, and is currently warded in an isolation room at SGH.

Case 210 visited Germany and Switzerland

Case 210 is an imported case involving a 56-year-old male German national who is a Singapore Long Term Visit Pass holder, and had been in Germany from Feb. 27 to Mar. 3, and again from Mar. 11 to 12, and Switzerland from Mar. 3 to 10.

He was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on Mar. 14 morning and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID.

Case 212 visited Indonesia

Case 212 is an imported case involving a 64-year-old male Indonesian national.

He was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on Mar. 14 morning, and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID.
