Covid-19: 4 cases uncovered to be linked to Church of S'pore in Bukit Timah

These are cases 144, 208, 214 and 235.

The Ministry of Health announced 17 new cases of Covid-19 in Singapore on Mar. 16, bringing the total number of cases to 243.

On the same day, it was announced that four of the confirmed cases so far are linked to the Church of Singapore (Bukit Timah), which is at 2B Hindhede Road.

This was uncovered by further epidemiological investigations and contact tracing, carried out with the help of Singapore Police Force.

These are cases 144, 208, 214 and 235.

Here are the details of each individual case.

Case 144

Case 144 is a 58-year-old female Singapore citizen who has no recent travel history to affected countries and regions. She is currently warded in an isolation room at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital (NTFGH).

She is a contact of Case 140 and is linked to the cluster involving the private dinner function at SAFRA Jurong.

She had reported onset of symptoms on Mar. 3 and sought treatment at a GP clinic the same day and again on Mar. 5.

On Mar. 7 she presented at NTFGH with subsequent test results confirming that she had a Covid-19 infection on the afternoon of Mar. 7.

She is a hairdresser at her home at Jurong West St 74 and had attended to customers after the onset of symptoms.

Case 208

Case 208 is a 26-year-old female Singapore Citizen who has no recent travel history to affected countries and regions.

She was confirmed to have Covid-19 infection on Mar. 14 morning, and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID.

Case 214

Case 214 is a 29-year-old male Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to affected countries and region.

He is currently warded in an isolation room at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID). He is linked to Case 208.

He reported onset of symptoms on Mar. 5 and had sought treatment at a general practitioner (GP) clinic on Mar. 6 and Mar. 8. He presented at NCID on Mar. 14, and subsequent test results confirmed Covid-19 infection on Mar. 14 afternoon.

Prior to hospital admission, he had visited Youth Go! (403 Fajar Road), Project 180 @ Simei (145 Simei Street 2) and Singapore University of Social Sciences (463 Clementi Road).

He lives at Jurong West Street 71.

Case 235

Case 235 is a 31-year-old female Singapore Citizen with no recent travel history to affected countries and regions.

She was confirmed to have COVID-19 infection on Mar. 16 morning and is currently warded in an isolation room at SGH.

She is employed as a Medical Social Worker at Singapore General Hospital, and is linked to Case 208.
