A family of chickens minding their own business in Marymount area was nearly run over by a car exiting a car park.
A video uploaded to the "Complaint Singapore" Facebook group by Wun Chiang, showed a car driving straight into the path of a family of chickens.
The road is located outside the car park exit of Mapex building at Jalan Pemimpin.
Car misses the family of chickens narrowly
The video showed there were about 10 chickens in total.
The front bumper of the car narrowly missed hitting the white female hen, while the chicks were almost run over by the left front tyre of the car.
One of the eight chicks disappeared under the bottom of the car and re-emerged out from under the car unscathed.
A bystander in green at the scene called out to and gestured at the driver.
The eight young chicks were chirping while the adult chickens were observed to have been making noises, before the chicken family huddled together.
According to Google Maps, this is the Mapex building on Jalan Pemimpin.
Search of car plate on LTA website shows expired road tax
According to some sleuthing carried out by online commenters, the license plate of the Hyundai Avante in the video pulled up records from the Land Transport Authority's One Motoring database that showed the road tax for the vehicle has expired on Dec. 11, 2019.
According to LTA's site, it is an offence to use a vehicle on the roads without a valid road tax.
