Case 172 lives in Geylang, works at AXA S'pore & was in The Philippines from Feb. 27 - Mar. 2

She first showed symptoms on March 5.

On March 11, 12 new Covid-19 cases were announced by The Ministry of Health.

Among them was Case 172, a 42-year-old female Philippines national who is a Singapore Work Pass Holder, and had been in the Philippines from Feb. 27 to Mar. 2.

More details were revealed about the case on Thursday (March 12).

Details about Case 172

She is a Filipino national who's also a Singapore Work Pass Holder. She lives in Lorong 28 Geylang, and works at AXA Singapore (Shenton Way).

She had been to the Philippines from February 27 to March 2, before returning to Singapore. Three days later, March 5, she reported onset of symptoms. She sought treatment at a GP clinic on March 9.

She was confirmed to be infected with the virus on the morning of March 11.

Prior to hospital admission, she had gone to work at AXA.

She is also linked to Case 184.

Case 184

Case 184 is a 35 year-old male Filipino national who is a Singapore Work Pass holder, and had been in the Philippines from Feb. 24 to Mar. 1.

He was confirmed to be infected with Covid-19 on the morning of Mar. 12, and is currently warded in an isolation room at NCID. He is linked to Case 172.
