Singaporeans frequent the malls of Johor Bahru for affordable groceries, good food, and relaxing massages.
However, with the opening of BookXcess at Sunway Big Box, they might want to start adding good books to that list.

BookXcess' latest outlet is a bookstore-on-steroids concept called the Box of Knowledge.
With 32,000-square feet of floor space and over 1 million books, the Box of Knowledge is the biggest bookstore in Southern Region of Malaysia.
All just a 20-minute drive from Tuas Checkpoint.The centrepiece of the whole store is this humongous cube-shaped bookshelf.

According to The Iskandarian, it is 8-metres high and houses an area for younger ones within aptly called the Children's Cave.

It's all in line with BookXcess' "mission to bring back the love for reading," said co-founder Andrew Yap at the store's opening.
Yap added that his belief that parents were best positioned to nurture a habit of reading within children, according to The Iskandarian.
"We are calling all parents to instil the reading habit and increase the number of books exposed to their children in terms of variety."
The store also features a cafe — Cafe Wolf — for book lovers to sit back and enjoy a much-needed cuppa after all that time browsing through BookXcess' collection.
