ItsRainingRaincoats, a community initiative for migrant workers in Singapore, is appealing for baby items for Case 42's family.

Case 42 is a Bangladeshi worker linked to the Seletar Aerospace Heights cluster.

The worker, who has been in the ICU since Feb. 7, has a pregnant wife.

Eight months pregnant

Speaking to Mothership, Dipa Swaminathan from ItsRainingRaincoats revealed that she personally spoke to the wife of the 39-year-old worker.

According to Dipa, the wife, who is eight months pregnant, cried over the phone:

"I have personally spoken to the wife. She cried and I cried. I don’t know what else to say. I cannot imagine a more tragic situation."

Dipa added that the mother needs baby items.

Collection limited to new baby items only

The volunteers from ItsRainingRaincoats are appealing for the following items and are limiting their collection to new items only:

  • Baby clothes for boy (new born to one year)
  • Baby bottles
  • Baby toys (for new born and up to 12 months old)
  • Baby diapers
