German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, is in isolation after her doctor was found infected with Covid-19.
The doctor had given the 65-year-old German leader a precautionary vaccine against pneumococcal infection on March 20.
Merkel was informed about the news on March 22, after she held a news conference, according to The Guardian.
Merkel would undergo "regular tests" and work from home in the meantime, according to her spokesman.
Germany has reported over 24,000 cases as of March 23 (Singapore time) with 93 deaths.
Earlier on, Merkel had urged the Germans to maintain social distancing of at least 1.5 metres away from one another.
Public gatherings of more than two people have been banned in the latest effort to curb the spread of Covid-19.
Merkel said that the Covid-19 pandemic is the biggest challenge to the Germans after World War II in a television address on March 19.
