Covid-19: 35 new locally-transmitted cases, 18 linked to 2 new school clusters

Most of the cases in these clusters are staff at the schools.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced on Wednesday, Mar. 25 that Singapore has 73 more confirmed cases of Covid-19.

Of these 73 cases, 38 are imported and 35 are local cases, the largest percentage of local cases since the recent spike in imported cases.

And out of the 35 new local cases, 18 of them are linked to two new clusters, at PCF Sparkletots Preschool and Dover Court International School.

Sparkletots Preschool cluster

16 of the new cases on Mar. 25 are linked to a new cluster at PCF Sparkletots Preschool, located at Fengshan Block 126.

The cases are 566, 567, 572, 583, 584, 601, 602, 603, 604, 605, 609, 610, 612, 614, 617 and 624.

Together with cases 516 and 521, the Sparkletots Preschool cluster now has 18 confirmed cases.

14 of the cases are staff at the preschool, while four (Cases 521, 566, 567, and 572) are family members of Case 601.

Dover Court International School cluster

Two of the new confirmed cases, cases 618 and 626, are linked to a new cluster at Dover Court International School.

Case 556, which was announced as confirmed on Mar. 24, has also been identified as part of that cluster.

All three cases in the Dover Court International School cluster are staff at the school.

Other local cases identified today

Eight of the new cases (Cases 573, 581, 586, 589, 594, 598, 606 and 621) are still currently unlinked, and contact tracing is ongoing.
