There are now 28 cases of the coronavirus in Singapore.

However due to the nature of contact tracing, these cases, even though they might be confirmed at different times, have high degrees of relations to one another.

Here is a comprehensive grouping as to the relations between these different cases.

Cases 1 and 3

Relationship: Father and son

Age: 66 and 37 respectively

Nationality: Both are Chinese citizens from Wuhan

Cases 2, 13 and 26

Relationship: Case 2 is a close contact of case 13. Case 26 is case 13’s daughter

Age: 53, 73 and 42 respectively.

Nationality: All three are Chinese nationals

Relationship: Travelling companions

Age: 36 and 31 respectively

Nationality: Both are Chinese nationals from Wuhan

Relationship: Husband and wife

Age: 56 and 56 respectively

Lavender cluster cases

The Lavender cluster, which represents the majority of cases for the past two days, came about when a tourist group from Guangxi, China visited a medicine shop there.

The cases infected from that specific visit were the two workers in the shop at that time, as well as the tour guide leading the tour group.

Cases 19 and 20

Relationship: Colleagues who worked at Yong Thai Hang

Age: 28 and 48 respectively

Nationality: Both are Singapore Residents

Relationship: Case 19 and 27 are husband and wife. Case 28 is their six-month-old son. Case 21 is a foreign domestic worker who works for the family.

Nationality: Case 19 is a Singapore Resident, Cases 27 and 28 are Singapore Citizens, and Case 21 is an Indonesian National.
