The world's biggest sneaker convention is coming to Singapore.

First-ever SEA event

Sneaker Con Southeast Asia will be held for the first time ever from June 20 to June 21, 2020 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre.

Sneaker Con was founded in New York in 2009.

To date, Sneaker Con has held events in over 40 cities around the world, with more than one million attendees.

The event also has a digital platform which offers shoppers a way to buy and sell sneakers online, though shipping is only available to U.S. customers.

Sneaker Con Southeast Asia is headed by Sean Wotherspoon, who is the designer behind shoes such as the Nike Air Max 1/97.

He will also be creating some collaborative items for the event, which will be announced at a later date.

Meet and greet opportunities will also be available.

What to expect

Event-goers can expect to meet industry leaders, collectors, resellers and influencers, with special panel discussions.

A skatepark and a basketball court will be set up at the event as well.

One can also buy, sell and trade footwear.

Experts will also be on-site at the Sneaker Con Authenticated station to verify the legitimacy of your kicks.

Tickets for the event start at S$52 and can be purchased via Klook.

Do take note that there are different tickets for Singapore residents and non-Singapore residents.
