On Feb. 10, the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM) and Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) began temperature screening procedures at their Clementi Road campus and the SIM Management House.

Temperature screening in response to DORSCON orange

This was done in response to the Ministry of Health's (MOH) recent shift of the Disease Outbreak Response System Condition (DORSCON) level from yellow to orange.

According to SIM's Facebook post, "all private educational institutions are expected to undertake similar measures with immediate effect to help protect their students and staff":

Report to stations for temperature taking

As both SIM and SUSS share the same campus, all visitors such as students, teaching associates and contractors are expected to report to any of the following stations to have their temperatures taken every day:

"I'm OK" sticker

Visitors who are well and without a fever will be issued an "I'm OK" sticker.

The SIM advisory states that this sticker must be displayed prominently on the left side of one's chest at all times while they are on campus.

Here is what it looks like:

If spotted without a sticker, visitors will not be allowed access to classes or events and will be asked to report to any of the four screening stations.

The schools have also urged students to report visitors who are seen without a sticker to the security counter on level two of block A (SIM Clementi Road campus) or the level four atrium (SIM Management House).

On the other hand, those have a fever will be denied entry to classes and events and will be advised to see a doctor immediately.

Before heading down, they will have to call a clinic to arrange an appointment with the doctor and declare their travel history.

Travel Declarations

All visitors are also required to complete a travel declaration form at the temperature screening stations, in the event that contact tracing is required.

Contact details such as mobile numbers will be collected.
