Scammers are calling victims, asking them to collect documents from MOH's office

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has received feedback from members public that they have received phone calls asking them to visit MOH's offices to collect documents.

No such calls from the MOH

On Feb. 27, MOH clarified on their website that such calls are not made by MOH.

MOH will not require anyone to collect documents from their offices if they do not have any existing matter with the ministry, the announcement added.

To verify the authenticity of phone calls claiming to be from MOH, one can call the General Hotline at 6325 9220.

MOH reminds the public that it is a good practice to verify the authenticity of instructions before offering any personal information or payments to anyone.

This is not the first time that scammers have masqueraded as MOH.

Previously, it was reported that scammers are pretending to conducting contact tracing in order to gather personal information from victims.
