Matchaya is a Japanese cafe at The Cathay that specialises in matcha-based desserts and beverages.

Started in 2015, the brand has gained a steady following over the years and now serves over 80 food items including mains, desserts & beverages.

According to them, their creations were influenced by various "premium ingredients from different prefectures" in Japan.

In mid-2019, Matchaya expanded to a "Progressive Tea Bar" concept that sells brunch and mains, while retaining their matcha offerings.
